The GSIS is a school association. The purpose of the association is the establishment and maintenance of a general school including a kindergarten and a preschool. The school board is at the same time the board of directors of the association and bears the legal responsibility for the association.
It consists of five voting members, who are elected for two years each. At the end of each annual general meeting, half of the board members resign or stand for re-election.
The board of the association appoints from among its members the president and his/her deputy, the secretary and the treasurer.
Members of the board are currently:
Alex Ntow (Public Relations), Venan Sondo (Treasurer), Fabian Limberger, Sarah Heinlin (President)
The Board members work closely with the school management and the school administration - the school management, a teachers' and a parents' representative, as well as the administrative management participate in the respective Board meetings
Among others, the board members of the school association perform the following assignments:
decision on disciplinary measures, as far as this is provided for in the school regulations.
