Scholarship at the German International School Accra
We see ourselves as a school of encounter that wants to offer a good education to children of all nationalities. The international character of the school is made even more comprehensive by the acquisition of the German language and offers the best conditions for obtaining a degree that is recognized worldwide.
Requirements:
All school children of all nationalities who are between 5 and 11 years old and attend preschool or grades 1-4 are eligible to apply. No prior knowledge of the German language is required for the scholarship.
Excluded are families whose parents are reimbursed for school fees by their employer or families who still owe school fees to GISA.
Scholarship Type:
The scholarship includes a 40% discount on tuition.
This excludes the application and registration fees, which are one-time fees.
The scholarship is awarded until the student leaves school.
General reductions are subject to budgetary constraints. There is no entitlement to a discount.
Please note that there may be tuition increases, which in turn will also apply to the scholarship holders of the German International School Accra.

Documents to be submitted:
- Application form incl. photo of the student
- Last two school reports
- Pedagogical reports, if available
- Identity card or birth certificate of the student
- ID cards of the parents
- Electricity bill to prove the address of residence
- Self-employed: Last tax return stamped by the GRA and "Financial Statement" prepared and certified by an accountant.
- Salaried employees: Salary statement from employer and employment contract
- Bank statements for the last 6 months
- Other documents that appear to be important
Selection criteria:
- Income of parents or guardians
- School reports of the student, if available
Please note:
Families of applicants must provide full disclosure of their finances. Applications will be treated confidentially.
Applicants who provide false or incomplete information will generally be disqualified from the process.

Language Assistance:
The school offers students whose native language is not German an intensive course in German as a foreign/second language.

Candidates deemed suitable will be invited for a personal interview promptly after submission of the documents.
