St. Martin shares his coat and the kindergarten children their lantern light

On 11.11.2020 it was time to celebrate the lantern festival at the GSIS. All children received materials to created many different kinds of lanterns through the “Kita to go bag”.  So unicorns, rockets and beggars brought the night to shine.

In a short puppet show the story of St. Martin was presented. In advance the kindergarten children had already created small puppets. As in the song “Ein bisschen wie St. Martin”, which was sung afterwards, the children made Martin’s medals and awarded them with “heroes of everyday life”.

Everyone would have loved to meet in person for a luminous lantern parade to walk through the streets. But it was still a pleasure to sing together and see each other in the online meeting.
